Takedown Policy
Last updated 7 May 2026 · Effective 7 May 2026
BAM NFT removes content that violates the law, infringes third-party rights, or breaches our Terms of Use. This policy explains how to report such content and what we do on receipt of a complete report.
For copyright-specific take-downs, see our DMCA Policy. Use this policy for everything else.
1. What we remove
On verified report, we remove or restrict access to listings, metadata, and storefront pages that contain:
- child sexual-abuse material (CSAM), terrorist content, or other content prohibited by EU or Norwegian law;
- stolen artwork, plagiarised work, or material reposted without the rights-holder’s permission;
- non-consensual intimate imagery, doxxing, or material that identifies a private individual without their consent;
- fraudulent listings that misrepresent provenance, supply, or minting status;
- impersonation of a brand, public figure, or another Merchant;
- content that exists primarily to harass, threaten, or incite violence against a person or group;
- content prohibited by the Acceptable Use clause of our Terms.
For CSAM and terrorist content, we also report to the competent authorities as required by law and may preserve evidence for investigation.
2. How to submit a report
Email help@bamnft.com with the subject line “Takedown Report” and include:
- the URL on https://bamnft.com, on-chain token ID, contract address, or other identifier that pins down the content;
- the category of violation (e.g. impersonation, non-consensual imagery, fraudulent listing);
- a short description of why the content violates the law or these terms, with any supporting evidence (screenshots, links to the original work, identity proof if you are the depicted person);
- your name and contact email — anonymous reports are reviewed but deprioritised because we cannot follow up;
- for rights claims, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to make the claim.
Urgent reports (CSAM, imminent harm to a person, credible threat of violence) are prioritised. For all other categories we aim to triage within two business days.
3. What we do on receipt
We review every complete report. Depending on the category and the evidence we may:
- remove or restrict access to the listing, page, or off-chain metadata;
- suspend the affected Merchant or user account pending further review;
- contact the affected Merchant for a response, where law permits;
- forward the report to law-enforcement or to a relevant national authority where required;
- preserve evidence in our internal records for the period required by law.
Where the law requires us to act without prior notice (for example, CSAM), we do so. Otherwise the affected Merchant is notified after the action is taken and may appeal.
4. On-chain limitations
On-chain tokens and the transactions that minted them cannot be deleted from a public blockchain. What we can remove is our hosted metadata, our storefront listing, and any references to the content from the parts of the Service we control. For tokens we custody on a holding wallet (manual-transfer storefronts) we may also choose not to forward the token to the buyer pending review.
5. Appeals and counter-notices
If your content has been removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, reply to the takedown notification we sent you with:
- identification of the removed material;
- a statement of why you believe the removal was incorrect, with supporting evidence;
- your full legal name and contact details.
We will review and respond within ten business days. If the material was removed for an alleged rights violation, the complainant will also be notified of your appeal.
6. Bad-faith reports
Repeatedly filing reports we determine to be malicious, frivolous, or based on knowingly false information may result in suspension of the reporting account and may be referred to law-enforcement.
